In 2008, Suppression Systems Inc. (SSI), celebrated our 25th year in business. As we begin our 26th year, SSI has grown into one of the highest volume fire suppression companies in the nation. Serving the tri-state area of PA, NJ & DE from our headquarters in Pennsburg, PA, we continue to expand our customer base into NY, CT, OH and all points along the Northeast corridor. The introduction of our MidAtlantic States effort, serving MD, VA & DC is well underway from our sales office in Southern DE. Our full-service MidAtlantic office is in development and will open very soon to further expand SSI's capabilities in the region.

For the past 3 years, SSI has been under the direction of President, Jeff Lambert and our extended team of business unit managers. In this time frame SSI has retained our position as #1 distributor of Fike Protection products to the suppression industry, which we have held for many years. In addition, SSI is the leading Fike Explosion Protection distributor in the nation, and was recently named the leading Fike Fire Alarm distributor in the nation.

SSI's humble beginnings began in a small garage in Bethlehem, PA in 1983. Like most start-up companies with very little capital, precious few employees and limited customers to draw from, Bob Giuliani and Jeff Atkins set out to educate the region about the need for protection of their assets using gas suppression as opposed to damaging water. Through their tenacious efforts, and the addition of a third partner, Bruce Bieber, by the mid-80's SSI's growth found them searching for larger accommodations.

An old clothing mill, centrally located between the territory of Scranton, North Jersey and the Philadelphia region, seemed to be a prime location to set up shop. Numerous remodeling projects and retrofits later, SSI is still headquartered in the same building, circa 1920's. What started out as renting some office and production space in the massive building has evolved into occupation of the entire 3-story mason structure. By the late 80's, SSI had become established as a force in the fire suppression business, with employee count growing into the 30's.
