Very Early Smoke Detection (VESDA)

VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) is an aspirating smoke detection (ASD) system engineered to detect microscopic smoke particles in the earliest stage of combustion—often hours before conventional spot detectors respond.

By continuously sampling air through a network of small pipes, VESDA systems can monitor large or high-airflow spaces such as data centers, clean rooms, and telecommunications hubs. One system can replace up to 120 conventional smoke detectors, reducing installation and maintenance costs while increasing coverage.
